Serious accident involving Polish national team. "He is in critical condition"
The accident occurred on route S8. The boxers were traveling to Żagań for a military oath.
"On the night of 13-14 June this year, a car accident occurred involving two national team players - Paweł Brach and Cezary Znamiec, gold medalists of this year's World Cup. Both athletes were taken to hospital. Paweł Brach has already left the medical facility - he did not suffer any serious injuries and his health condition is good. Cezary Znamiec remains under the care of doctors, and his health condition is being monitored" - we read in a special statement, which was sent by the Polish Boxing Association.
Journalists from polsatsport.pl reported that according to their information, the situation in Znamiec's case is very serious. The young player did not regain consciousness and his condition is critical.

"I'm fine, please pray for my friend," the young boxer wrote briefly on Facebook.

After yesterday's match in Skarżysko, they were driving from Warsaw to Żagań for the oath ceremony. The accident occurred near Łódź, the car driven by their colleague hit the semi-trailer of a truck – we read in Pindera's entry on the X platform.
On Friday, both Polish representatives took part in a Polish Boxing League match. Brach played for KKB Rush Kielce, while Znamiec was his friend's second.
